What is the mission of American Business Council of Kuwait?

The American Business Council of Kuwait (ABCK) has been protecting the rights of American companies in the State of Kuwait since 1985. It promotes and develops American business in Kuwait. It is a non-profit organization which consists of USA corporations, small and medium sized companies, and prominent business leaders and entrepreneurs, both American and Kuwaiti. Through the support of its members, ABCK has become the recognized voice of U.S. business in Kuwait.

The organization provides a platform through which executives pursue and discuss issues impacting business operations between the U.S. and Kuwait.

ABCK seeks to proactively promote an understanding of the challenges and issues facing American business interests operating abroad.

ABCK has over 30 Corporate members and close to 100 individual members.

Such participation may include, but not be limited to:

  • Annual General Meeting and Elections

  • Monthly general meetings and events

  • Focus group meetings and events

  • Committees established for the benefit of the ABCK

  • Other administrative and/or volunteer activities

Affiliations

U.S. Chamber Of Commerce (USCOC): The American Business Council of Kuwait is a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce based in Washington D.C. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.

Middle East Council of American Chambers of Commerce (MECACC): As a non-profit, non-partisan, volunteer organization, MECACC promotes the development of commerce and investment between the U.S. and the Arabian Gulf region. They express the views of the American business community to public and private interests in the United States concerning U.S. laws and regulations that affect American business and American business persons in the region, in order to maintain and enhance regional trade in U.S. goods and services.

Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI): It is a non-government institution representing business establishments in Kuwait. The Chamber acts on the behalf of, represents and lobbies for the interests of businesspersons and industrialists in Kuwait.
